High Five Life Journal
Your journal. Your information.
Privacy policy · Updated September 8, 2026
This policy covers High Five Life Journal, the companion app from Steven Britt and The High Five Life. The app is in development. It explains how information is handled when you create an account or use a test or released version.
What the app stores
- Your account: your email address, account identifier, authentication records, and account timestamps. Supabase handles password authentication; your password is not stored in your journal entries.
- Your setup: the areas you track, goals you enter, onboarding completion, and reminder preferences.
- Your journal: dated check-in answers, checked goals, area notes, and daily reflections. Weekly summaries are calculated from these saved entries.
- Technical information: requests to our providers may include IP addresses, device or browser information, timestamps, and error or security logs needed to operate the service.
Goals and notes are your choice. They may contain personal information about beliefs, relationships, health, or finances. Please avoid entering passwords, financial account numbers, or sensitive information about other people.
Why we use it
We use this information to sign you in, save and display your goals and reflections, provide history and weekly summaries, remember your preferences, respond to support requests, and maintain the service. The app does not publish your journal or offer a public social feed.
Providers and sharing
Supabase provides account authentication and database hosting. Expo provides application build and update services. Apple provides iOS app distribution and, for beta versions, TestFlight. Hostinger hosts this website. These providers process information needed for their services; their own policies also apply to information they collect independently.
We do not sell or rent your journal information or share it for third-party advertising. The current app has no advertising SDK or production behavioral analytics integration. Information may be disclosed when required by law or necessary to address abuse or protect the service.
Service providers may process information in countries other than where you live. Your entries are sent over encrypted HTTPS connections. Access controls limit ordinary app access to the signed-in account's records. No online system can guarantee absolute security.
Reminders and device storage
Reminders are optional local device notifications. The app does not need to send your journal text to a push-notification service to schedule them. You can turn reminders off in Settings or your device's notification settings. The app also stores sign-in information on your device to keep you signed in.
Keeping and deleting information
Account and journal information is kept while your account is active so it remains available when you return. To request deletion, email darrellstevenbritt@gmail.com from the address associated with your account. If your app version includes Settings → Delete account, you can use that option to delete your account and associated goals, check-ins, and notes directly.
Deleting the app from your phone does not delete your server account. Deletion removes account and journal records from the active service; provider backups and security records may remain for their applicable retention periods or where legally required. A separate website signup or support email is not automatically removed by deleting an app account; include those in your request if you want them removed too.
Your choices and questions
You can edit your goals and notes, choose which areas to track, disable reminders, and request access, correction, a copy of your information, or deletion. Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights. We may need to verify your account before acting on a request.
For privacy or support, contact Steven Britt at darrellstevenbritt@gmail.com. Please do not include your password or private journal content unless it is necessary to explain your request.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page when the app's data practices change and revise the date above. Material changes will be communicated as appropriate before they take effect.
